I already started missing Korea once I stepped onto Changi Airport grounds yesterday, the stay there was simply too short. I want to go back to South Korea. The desperation was so strong that I even had the thought of migrating there. I ain't kidding! :}
I missed the:
●Snow;
●Cooling & refreshing air;
●Shopping;
●Korean cultures & cuisines;
●and Korean shuaige(s).
Day 1 & Day 2.
Got tickets for the flight and shopped around the duty-free shops. Boarded the plane at the respective time and reached Seoul in about 6 hours time. Didn't get much sleep on the plane, guess I was too excited. Korean Air served breakfast at 3AM,
Upon arrival at Seoul/Incheon International Airport, collected our luggages and met tour guide. The tour guide is a graduate, really intelligent. He is a Korean but he can speak & write Chinese. (Many koreans there know how to speak Chinese too, but I don't think they can write.)
The handsome tour guide.
It wasn't cold in the Airport but after we stepped out of the airport, whoosh! You could feel the cold tingling on your skin. It was really cold but when there's wind, the cold is unbearable! I'm really amazed by that mist when you breathe out. So cute, haha. Too bad, I couldn't capture that one. :<
As we were early, our tour guide brought us to a few itineraries in Seoul by bus. I don't know what places they're called.
The President's House.
The so-called security guard. | The flora and fauna there are amazingly stunning.
These people were dressed in Hanbok as there was a King from some country coming to the President's House.
The buses in Korea are really colourful. They've got red, blue, green ones.
Lunch - Luv the seaweed soup!
After that, we took a domestic flight from Seoul to Jeju Island. As told by our tour guide, Chui Ming Zhe, (his korean name in Chinese), he said that there are many rocks over there in Jeju.
Visited Mysterious Road. It is mainly an illusion. You're looking at an uphill but it is actually a downhill likewise when you thought you're looking at a downhill, it is actually an uphill. I even experienced the phenomenon of going uphill with the bus's engine off! This totally blew my mind off! I like had question marks all over my head. So unique, ha.
-The 'Jirou' and 'Fishcake' is deeelicious!-
Yongduam Rock - A lava formation silhouetting a dragon head perfectly over the ocean's horizon. *Beautiful*
Later, we explored the Miniature Land. There are about 100 miniatures of noted places all over the world including the Eiffel Tower of France, the Sydney Opera House, the Whitehouse, and the Niagara Falls. Some Korean Dramas were also filmed there.
Does this image ring a bell in your head?
Next, we walked through this mirror maze. It was really confusing and hard to find your way out of there. Because of the reflections, it's as if you can go any direction you want. But that's not it. It's like you're walking blind-folded. You have to stretch out your hands to feel your way out. Almost bumped my head into the mirror a few times!
LOL. Mona Lisa with a moustache. How amusing! :>
COOL AYE?!
Dinner > Check in to hotel.
Day 3.
Morning call at 7.30am and had breakfast at 8.00am.
After breakfast, we proceeded to Sungsan Sunrise Peak. It is an extinct volcano crater 438m above sea level. It is also the place where you can the sunrise. We climbed this mountain, it was vex!
Nope! This is just the beginning!
With our don't-give-up attitude, we finally reached the peak of the mountain. This is the top view.
Thereafter, we proceeded to Sepjikoji and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery from the beautiful rocky coastline.
Cuttlefish. Ha!
Next, visited the Seongeup Folk Village, Some of the island people still lived in thathed roof lava wall homes.
This lady here, told us the traditions/cultures there in Chinese. We also then bought some home-made honey & spices which costs ₩70,000 altogether.
The container's design is actually Jeju's god. Something like that.
Their traditional costumes - Hanbok.
Eating the Korean style. Wrap ingredients with cabbage. Heehee!
After lunch, visited the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall which is one of Jeju's most beautiful water falls.
This duck was like damn cute okay! It was the only duck at that area. And people were like crowding around it. The duck thought they were going to give it some food. But to its dissapointment, they didn't. Haha! Lonely duck, poor thing. It should have joined the other ducks at the other side of the pond. Kinda foolish too. :>
Bought ice-cream after that. I know you must be thinking I'm insane: "It's so cold & you're still eating ice-cream!" But I could take it, hoh! I wasn't afraid of the ice-cream melting because the weather was like a refrigerator already. You know what?! Instead of melting, the ice-cream became frozen! Hahaha!
Then, we visited Jusangjeolli which is also known as 'god's sculpture made by wave and wind' at Daepo coast. The rocks are natural, they weren't carved out.
Lastly, we visited the filming site of the drama 'All In' - Lotte Hotel. The compound of the hotel has a Holland Village, where you can witness windmills spinning facing the Pacific Ocean.
After dinner, checked into hotel. Due to little comsumption of food during dinner, got out of the hotel and went to the nearby Family Mart to have maggie noodles. :P
Korean students.
