China Trip - School Exchange Programme '10.

I'll not post any other pictures as I'm too lazy to upload them all here. Therefore, you can view them if you wish to @ these urls :

DAY 1, 29 May
Daddy fetched me to Changi Airport in the early morning. Met the rest of the people and teachers. Checked in luggages, waved to friends & family goodbye. Took a group photo first before checking in. We'd some time before boarding the plane so we shopped around the duty free shops. Later, boarded the plane. Watched some movies. It was boring as it was a 5 hours trip to Pudong Airport. After we landed in China, it was pretty chilly over there, we took a coach to Wuxi. Almost 3 hours trip there. That day was nothing much, just travelling.

DAY 2, 30 May
Woke up at about 8am. Prepared the usual stuff and went down for breakfast. After breakfast, sat on the coach to Three Kingdoms City. Watched some performances over there. Then took a ferry for some sightseeing. Had lunch first, thereafter, went to some Teapot Factory. It was pretty cool and interesting.

After that, headed to Taihu. Chin Kiat, Chuin Ann, Xin Yi and I rented a boat and did some sightseeing and also snapped pictures of each other. After our ride, according to our teachers, we weren't suppose to do any water activities. Whoops! We didn't know. Haha. Mostly boys went to play kite. While Xin Yi and I decided to join the other 3E1 girls for some picture-taking session. I could feel the madness in us. Overall, we had fun and we sure are overjoyed!

In the evening, went to do shopping and later had Xiao Long Bao for dinner at the Xiao Long Bao's famous restaurant. At around 7pm, we went back to the hotel.

DAY 3, 31 May
Took a trip to TianYi Experimental School. This exchange programme's main purpose was to go to this school to see how the students have their lessons there. My group were to listen to their Chinese lesson. The students there were invincible! Not a single one of them fell asleep. They were so active and responsive. Unlike us. When the teacher threw questions at them, most of them were eager to answer. Frankly speaking, I didn't really understand what the lesson was all about.

Next, we joined them for their lesson entitled "Childhood". It was interesting, humourous and relaxing.

Then we, Singaporean visitors (students), went to interact with the students there. I had 2 buddies, touring me around their school and hostels. Following up, we were taught on how to make Xiao Long Bao. It was pretty simple. Had our handmade Xiao Long Bao for lunch.

Later, the tour guide told us that we still had some time before dinner so she brought us back to yesterday's venue where we did shopping to shop there again. Cuz yesterday, we were given too little time to shop. She was so understanding, right? :)

Dinner > Hotel.

DAY 4, 1 June
Took a coach and headed to Suzhou. Where we went to the Houqiao Primary Experimental School. According to the China's calendar, it was Children's Day. The little children there were playing tug of war. Those who weren't participating in the game, supported the participants by shouting out loud "加油". Good teamwork there.

Next, took a look at their Board Art. It was creative and unique! I was pretty engrossed in them and took many pictures of 'em. The artists who drew this board art were only primary school students! If I were them, even at my age, I wouldn't be able to produce such a splendid art piece. Seriously! Haha.

Later, to the Industrial Park. The scenery was breathtaking. Then again, did shopping! Hah, back to hotel after that.

DAY 5, 2 June
Back to Shanghai. Went to the Shanghai World Expo 2010! That place was HUGE. We even had to take a ferry across the ocean to view the other pavillions! Truthfully, there was nothing much but just people, people, and more people! Everybody was pushing their way through, especially in queues. All trying ways and means to cut queue. They were shouting here and there too. Urgh, it was really irritating. I disliked that particular behaviour. We queued up for the Singapore Pavillion for about 2 hours. Which! We didn't have to because we were Singapore citizens. What a waste of time. We also visited the United Nation, Holland, France and the Pacific Pavillion!

Had dinner in there too. By night, it was really cooling over there. My fingers were frozen. Perhaps, because of the sea breeze. At that time, I thought my leg was about to break. I was pooped!

Manage to survive and get back to the hotel. Haha.

DAY 6, 3 June
In the early morning, visited the Shanghai Museum. Pretty boring over there. Ate some cakes over there. Then had lunch.

Next, to the Urban Planning City. The technology there was advanced and the place was fun and beautiful. Haha. Not to mention, some of us including me, throwing balls to each other. Er hem.

Went to Raffles City for shopping. The place, teachers said, had many pickpockets around. Nothing much to shop over there. And the stuff were more expensive compared to the previous shopping venue we'd been to. The few of us (ChuYu, HuiJuan, Shan Shan, Xiu Wen and I), even had 'bodyguards' protecting us, namely DeKai, Gary, Jasper and Thiam Tee. Ha! Thanks anyways for your time!

In the night, we also went to this place (which I forgot the name). Where we could see buildings with those beautiful lights. Not to miss out, the Oriental Pearl Tower as well. The lighting was really awesome and fantastic. Took many group pictures as well as the scenery.

That day, was the last night we were going to spend in Shanghai before heading back to S'pore. So, we actually planned to ton for that last night. Guess what, everyone was fatigue and were starting to fall asleep at around 2++am. However, we still had lots of fun playing poker cards and murderer thingy. It was a really wonderful experience.

DAY 7, 4 June
Our last day! D: Visited ChengHuang Temple. At first, I found it boring as I thought we were really gonna visit a TEMPLE. But it wasn't the case. It was a shopping area. Haha. I was being spendthrift and that point of time as I was still left with lots of ren ming bi. In the end, after much of spending, I was still left with about 300¥. -.-

In the afternoon, visited the Oriental Pearl Tower. It had a really breathtaking scenery of Shanghai and not to mention scary at the same time. We took a lift up to 259M above ground. There was even pressure in my ear! When we went to view the ones with the transparent glass floor, it really sent shivers down my spine. However, I managed to take up all my courage to see the view. Took pictures together with some others. Trying to treasure every single last moment that we had.

Then it was time for us to leave. Bid farwell to our tour guide and checked in our luggages at the Pudong Airport. Had some food in this restaurant over there with ChuYu, HuiJuan, Shan Shan and Xiu Wen as we were getting hungry. Took the Singapore Airlines and arrived at S'pore at 1pm.

I had a really great experience in this Exchange Programme. I made many new friends. Laughed a lot, had lots of fun too. How I wished I could just stop the time from ticking and enjoy those fruitful moments forever. I really missed them now, when I talk about it here.

Alright alright, enough with this emotional thinkin'.
I'm finally done with the China Trip's update. I almost forgot about it y'know. Haha. Okay, happy viewing the pictures that had been uploaded in Facebook. Do view them! Especially the scenery with the beautiful lightings! Keh, toodles! ^^
