12 - 14 Sept '12 / Sailing the seas
Met the girls at Harbourfront Centre at 12:00PM for lunch, after some delays, everyone finally arrived at about 12:40PM. In the first place, we were planning to have Pizza Hut for lunch but it was the lunch peak period already and the seats are fully occupied so we went for an alternative - KFC because we don't have enough time.
KFC's cheese fries are the best!
We camwhored while waiting for the procedures to be done...
Got our passports and cruise card and we're ready to check in! It took quite a bit of patience because we had to wait from 2:30PM - 4:30PM to board the cruise.
Yay to my clouds in the sky DIY nail art, super in love with it but sadly it's a little chipped off already.
With Stephanie❣
Yeah, my dip-dye babe, Michel❣
With my other coursemates❣
Queuing up to immigration check in and checking of the luggage.
Here's our cruise - SuperStar Virgo!
Walking in and taking pictures with the cruise's mascots and models on the way.
Almost there!
And at last boarding the cruise!
My girls' and my cabin.~
I'm sleeping on the bed that is on the far right-hand corner. (I feel like I'm depicting a scene during oral examination or something.) The cabin is quite, no, I mean very small. There isn't much space to move about because it was just too narrow. And poor Joy was suffering from symptoms of claustrophobia...
Joy❣
Crazy acts of us caught on camera.
Calissa and I❣
The first thing we had to do once we got into the cabin was to camwhore. Girls.~
Those spots there came from the lightings and not dirt!
We left our cabin at 6:00PM for fine dining at Bella Vista Restaurant (Deck 7) with the rest of the NYP-ians. Food was so-so not as fine as expected. Look at the amount of cutlery available for usage! Do you know how to use them in the correct way? We do! :-)
*Learning Tip: You have to use both sides of each cutlery from the inside out according to the dishes served.

They gave us a menu and we are able to pick one dish out of the 3 or 4 dishes available for the appetiser, main dish and the dessert.
Appetiser: Fish salad - Not specific name
(I think the sauce sucks.)
Main dish: Grilled Snapper Fillet
(I think this dish was the best. I liked everything except the pumpkins. Love the mushrooms!)
Main dish: German Style Bernese Beef
(This was my friend's choice of meal and from the feedback I heard, it was horrendous.)
Dessert: Choices of Ice Cream
(Average kind of food that you can get from a tub of Kings' ice cream.)
After our meal, we went to snap some pictures at the deck of the cruise.
OOTD!
Joy's OOTD.
We got back to our cabin to refresh ourselves a little bit and then went back down to the deck for a compulsory safety drill session in case of an emergency which was to learn how to wear the life-jacket. I think it was quite pointless because the staff merely showed us how to do it but they didn't let us have a hands-on activity. Till now, I still don't quite know how to wear a life-jacket, buckle here and pull there or something?
After the safety drill, we went to tour around the ship on our own. Here are some pictures of the views inside the cruise. :-)
This is the so-called directory in the cruise. It can be a little confusing at times because there are 2 different parts of the cruise, another part of the cruise does not enable you to go to a certain place so you have to cross to the other part to get to your destination for example, your cabin. And the only or most common way to cross to and fro to the 2 parts of the cruise is on Deck 7, it can really get on your nerves sometimes when you head towards the wrong direction.
The highest deck, Deck 13!
Beautiful and peaceful night view isn't it?
We girls actually laid on the benches where people sun tan on to star gaze and enjoy the cooling breeze, such an amazing experience I will never forget.
At 9:15PM, we headed over to The Lido (Deck 7) to watch a performance!
I managed to take a few pictures when photography was prohibited. Oops.
He is Willer Nicolodi, the Ventriloquist! It is where a person can talk without opening his mouth. It was some cool shit! He can even make different sound effects and octaves, so spectacular! The performance was hilarious when he got some volunteers to the stage, I laughed my head off!
Doing some shopping............. for junk food.
*Gasp*
In the elevator! Their elevators do not have a close button so you have to wait for it to automatically close which sucks because you can't have the lift to yourselves as and when you want it to.
SUPPER TIME.

We spent the wee hours in Mac's room, had some confession and chit-chatting among ourselves until about 3:00AM.
The room got stuffy after a while because there were so many of us in that small cabin and we were producing too much carbon dioxide!
So at 3:00AM, we separated and went back into our individual cabins but no, we didn't go to sleep just yet. We chatted among ourselves again, did some exercise and then tried to get some sleep. I only managed to fall asleep at about 4:00AM.
-Day #2-

Woke up at 7:20AM to prepare ourselves for breakfast which means I only had about 3 hours of sleep. Wow. We had dim sum for breakfast at Noble House (Chinese Restaurant) at 9:50AM. It was a super rush breakfast because we were already running late for the briefing at 10AM.
The view from the restaurant, we were sailing.~
We listened to the briefing at The Lido. We were then separated into groups to witness how the cruise manage the laundry and the kitchen.

The kitchen was like a 3-in-1 kitchen because 3 of the complimentary restaurants shared the same kitchen. It looked complicated but very organised!

Customer's requests of half-boiled eggs, three-quarter boiled eggs and so forth.
The laundry management was interesting because the operations are extraordinary, even the technology and machines used were unique.
Super huge-ass laundry machines, it can fit a person in there!
Special ironing machine, results in lesser labour-costs because it gets things done even more efficiently and effectively.
Folding machine!

After that, we gathered back at The Lido. We were one of the first groups to arrive back so we waited for everyone else and then took a big group picture!

Playing thumbs-up whenever we have free time. ;-)

Our own group picture. And then we dominated the stage! :-)

Original lighting spot effects!
Zhen Hao and Kwang Wee❣
Gushing waves!
Zhen Hao acting cute... Love his shirt!

So... We went out to the deck to enjoy the scenery, the sun and the wind.
OOTD.
Hazz, Matt, Jes❣
Spotted something?

With Han En❣
HAHAHAHAHA. Adults content only!
Went to Deck 13's Gelato for some ice cream!
Reached Rendang Island but sadly, we couldn't disembark...
Deep, clear, blue waters! You can see streaks of lines from the sea, dashingly beautiful.
My favourite shot of the sea and sky that I captured during the cruise. :-)
Late lunch at The Noble House again! Sumptuous meal indeed.~
Toured around the casino during its non-operating hours.
An end to nowhere.
Fluffy clouds just like my nails! ^^

After that, we had a student sharing session at The Lido again, there were 4 groups altogether and each of the 4 groups are smaller sub-groups. In each of the 4 groups, 4 sub-groups are to be chosen at random to share their thoughts on what they have learnt and what is to be improved. We were sooooo lucky to be one of the 4 groups. (Please sense my sarcasm). We finally got over it and presented in front of 187 other NYP-ians. After the session, Michel, Steph, Cheryl, Abi, Han En and I went for a dip in the pool and played the long slide too! The slide was the best, I love slides! As you can see, there are no pictures of us in swimwear because I couldn't afford my $2K+ worth of DSLR to swim with me.
After swimming, we washed up and again had our dinner at the Noble House. Didn't regret going to the Noble House for 3 meals in a day because the food is rich in quantity and quality!
Yummy dessert!
Sunset by the sea!
Their hair salon seems creepy...
At the Bellini, listening to a band play while waiting for 9:00PM to come.~
They had jackpots in there too!
Went to watch another performance at The Lido, the content contained some gymnastics plus singing, dancing and acting.
Then there was some party going on at the Grand Piazza but we didn't join the fun because the place was packed... We did dance along when the YMCA played.
Next, we went for the Chocolate Buffet!
Everything tasted almost the same, filled with chocolate.~ After filling our stomachs, we made it back to our cabins. This time, a few other people joined us in our cabin to watch the movie titled 'No Strings Attached' on HBO channel. We tucked ourselves to bed at 2.30AM.
-DAY #3-

Sunrise by the sea! Jaw-dropping!
Overslept because we were filled with fatigue, we woke up at 9:30AM, only Michel, Calissa and I had a quick breakfast at the Mediterranean Buffet before gathering at the Galaxy of the Stars at 10:00AM.
After the briefing on collecting passports and paying of bills, we got back to our cabins to pack our luggages to prepare to check out. The rest decided to quickly go back to the Mediterranean Buffet to have breakfast before the operating hours ended as there will be no lunch. So again, we had breakfast, our breakfast was a very heavy one.
Went back out to the deck to have a group picture taken with the girls before disembarking in Singapore❣ :-)

Once we arrived in Singapore, we immediately chilled at Vivo City's Starbucks! Life's good. ;-)
The new Salted Caramel Frappucino!
Dark Mocha & Chocolate Chip Frappucino!
One by one, we separated to different routes back home with our hearts filled with happiness.
That's all for the updates on my cruise trip! Remember to stay tuned for more updates because my trip to Aussie is coming by in A WEEK and still counting down❣❣❣ xx
