26 Sept to 2 Oct - Perth, Aussie (Part I)

Yes I'm here to finally post the long, awaited update on my Aussie trip! It was supposed to be last week, I know I know but I didn't have the pictures with me so... Yeah. Here it goes!

Day 1
Nothing much happening on this day because our flight was at 1:15AM. Of course, we checked in our baggage first thing once we reached Changi Airport and then went for a cup of drink at McCafé.

Day 2
After our refreshment, we checked in and shopped around the duty-free shops.

Mmm, M&Ms. ;)

I don't know how but we happened to be late for our boarding of flight which sucks because he had to jog over. And while we were settling down, every single passenger laid their eyes on us. It felt like some drama scene where the person was late for their flight due to some mishaps.

Our menu for the arrival and departure flights!

Here's a zoomed-out overview our destination from Singapore to Perth which is a pretty long journey of about 6 hours.

Check this out guys. There's a country called Pontianak?!?!

Stayed overnight just to finish watching 'The Lucky One' on board resulting in a lack of sleep for an entire day because it was day time at 7AM when we landed in Perth so we had our activities straight away...

And then in the wee hours at around 2AM, daddee got hungry and ordered instant noodles for supper. Although I wasn't hungry, I still got a bowl of noodles because my very nice dad ordered for me too. Thanks for helping me gain weight, daddee...

Breakfast was served at around 5.30AM, just right on time when the movie ended.

Didn't sleep a wink just to catch the sunrise and puffy clouds. Sadly, the sunrise was on the other side of the plane so I didn't really get to see a good view of the breathtaking sunrise. Oh yes, I was sitting on the seat next to the window, like yay! Because dad booked the flight so he was able to choose his seats and I specifically requested for him to choose the window seat for me, for both flights. Awesome eh?

We've arrived in Perth, Western Australia!

Our plane!

Perth International Airport from the inside, which is nothing extraordinary. The service was as bad as how the airport looks. We had to queue for almost an hour just to get through the customs; get our passports chopped and all. We got really impatient during that point of time, out of 10 counters only 4 counters were available... Singapore Changi Airport is really the ultimate best, it doesn't even take minutes and you are already through the customs and shopping away.

Here's the view from outside. When I got outdoors, the wind literally slapped hard on my face. It was freezing cold because it was coming to the end of spring season and approaching the summer season so during the time when we were there, it was always raining, making the weather even more breezy. Not forgetting that I was only wearing one piece of clothing.

Outfit of the day!

Lovin' the natural curls and shades on my long hair.

The car that my uncle rented over there! Still lookin' brand new eh?

My big aunt's house! Her house is kinda old though...

My third aunt's house which is new and modernly nice!

In my big aunt's house! Their house isn't that messy but it is during that time because the rest left many boxes of stuff around.

Overall, it looks really modern, new and stylish. I like it. ;)

They have a room filled with shelves of food. It's like a storage of food to prepare for rationing or something...

This is their neighbourhood, so picturesque! How I wished I lived in Europe, I wouldn't choose Australia though. Even though my half of my cuzzies are there.

Drove to a nearby food court selling international food!

The large chicken pao over there is damn good!

Shopping at Stockland mall!

The shopping malls there are unusual and unique because all the shops occupy only one level so you don't have to go up and down but just walk round and about the area. I like that! Singapore cannot afford to build the malls like their's because we have unlimited space...

All their supermarkets don't just sell vegetables, meat, fruits, dairy products, toiletries and other essential goods, they also provide clothing, toys, mechanical stuff.

This is another one of their supermarket.

Our next stop!

Shopping always makes a girl smile from ear to ear.

The food there is ridiculously expensive. One duck costs AUS$26, S$33.50. I know, what the hell right?! That's why over there, many people would choose to cook at home than to eat out.

Slurping on my Fanta Orange to quench my thirst. The bottle packaging is special!

Sumptuous steamboat for dinner!

Day 3
I finally managed to get a wink that night after not sleeping for a whole period of 24 hours which explains those rounder eyes of mine.

Their carpark fares are much more expensive than Singapore's!!!

Their ticket machine which you have to insert money into to pay for your ticket.

The ticket that we have to place in the vehicle

That's me with my relatives and a backdrop of a beautiful church.

Countries like these are so beautiful to snap pictures of yourselves in due to their vintage-like infrastructure.

Lunch at Sunny Chinese Cafe.

I ordered a bowl of dry wanton noodles which costs AUS$10, S$12.90. The portion is huge but it is still costly...

Here's my upright eyelashes cuzzie, Esmond. :)

Did some shopping again at some mall, which I have no idea of its name.

Holy Name School is a weird name for a school...

Shopping again at Westfield, the mall was huge but I only window-shopped, didn't see anything I liked...

First time seeing Target over there and I got super excited because I know of a YouTuber who gets loads of nice stuff at Target in America but I didn't know Australia had them too! Disappointingly, I didn't spot anything cute and magical at Target.

Of course, we couldn't miss the chance of chewing on bubblegums so I grabbed two bars for myself!

Outfit of the day!

Michel, I saw your café in Perth!!!!!

Plum mannequins? That's very unusual.

Time for tea break! Oh over there, you can't find a single Starbucks outlet, I assume they don't have Starbucks over there. That is quite depressing...

White hot chocolate tastes exquisite.

Adorable, chubby baby blonde hanging out at the café!

Cinema!

Sun set!

Fat face...

Shopping at Garden City, didn't buy anything again...

But I treated myself to a cone of Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream costing AUS$3.30, S$4.30!

Tried to sneak into the casino together with the rest, trying to act calm, cool and matured while entering but failed to enter without being caught by the security guard asking me for my ID. Oh well, at least it goes to show that I still look young. Even though I managed to pass the security borders at Genting's casino twice, I'm sure it was because they were nonchalant and are less strict about the rules. So enough thoughts of me looking older than my age. I get that a lot and I'm very convinced that it is my height that allows people to misinterpret that fact. ;)

The hotel at the casino is much smaller than I'd expected. I think it's even smaller and less grand than Singapore's Marina Bay Sands.

Flipped through the Australian newspaper that was left on the table by somebody and saw the weather. Yeah, Perth was having showers during that period of time. It was quite frustrating because the rain there pours weirdly and unpredictably. It drizzles lightly for a few minutes, stops, and then in the next few minutes it starts raining cats and dogs then stops after a while and so it repeats...

Drive-Thru for McDonalds! Their menu has quite a huge difference as compared to ours, they have the classics like Fillet and Big Mac but there are many other special meals!

My order!

Day 4
Taking pictures when you have the chance during a long journey in the car.

Dropped by a convenience store and got myself a packet of Yan Yan biscuit sticks.

I was capturing this............... (below)

A panorama picture. This is what my camera can do, its amazing functions. ;)

Can't. Open. My. Eyes. Properly. When. It's. So. Bright.

I sure do make an effort in taking a picture. Look at the frowns on my brows and this is me multi-tasking - eating while taking pictures.

We hopped off at this place to have lunch!

My dad's restaurant. HAHAHA.

Nope, but we were not dining in here...

But there.

Make our orders, pick the salads and drinks that we want.

And then make payment at the cashier.

After so, we collected our queue number which would beep when the food is ready for us to collect.

We ordered a lot, you can almost see a mountain of fries... I didn't take a picture of everything, you might faint.

Outfit of the day!

I love this picture! Railways are so my thing and the blue sky with puffy clouds.

Next stop after our meal is these row of shops.~

Target for the second time!

I totally laughed out loud at this picture, at myself. I don't even remember taking this picture and it's just that expression on my face that I find so damn amusing. I feel so dumb now...

Gummy balls!!!

I am prepared for Halloween!

Or maybe I'd choose pony rides instead.

I love Fremantle! Because we can shop and do sightseeing simultaneously, killing two birds in one stone!

Yet again, another beautiful church.

I do have a thing for posing with sign posts... New found hobby I guess?

Let's play chess, bet big and serious.

I like Kmart! I bought a lot of things there, mostly clothes.

Me with a weird face, experimenting and trying out how to use their self-service cash registers.

A vintage Volkswagen bus! COOL SHIT.

After Fremantle, we stayed over at third aunt's house for sumptuous dinner by uncle. Just look at the standard of it! It looks like the meal has been whipped up by a chef. And those are not the only dishes, there were more but I was too lazy to retake the picture, I only cared about digging into the food. Hehe.

Here's again, another picture of a warm sunset across the horizons to end off the post!

I will continue the rest of the days spent in Perth another day, as soon as I can. It is not easy because school has started for me already but I'll try my best! Stay tuned for days 5, 6, 7 and 8! xx
