26 Sept to 2 Oct - Perth, Aussie (Part II)
That day was the wedding day of my cuzz! Enjoyed the sun in the backyard while enjoying the lust flower pots outdoors. Over there, you'd love the sun but here in Singapore, everyone hates the sun because it's just so humid here! Even if it's hot in Perth, you never perspire so easily and I really like that kind of humidity.
Here's the groom, none other than my cousin, Daryl (with his very awkward pose)!
The mighty, hilarious groomsmen striking a pose.
The bride's apartment.
Over at the bride's apartment where they have to play some games organised by the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The bride having her makeup touched up.
The bride's bro.
Awwwwww.
Off they go, to Daryl's house!
So not decent.........................
And so decent, on the other hand.
Received red packet from the wedding couple, whoop! I know my hair looks dishevelled and my attire looks inappropriate for a tea ceremony but I can't be blamed because I didn't have a good sleep and the ceremony was held really early!!! Well at least, my other cuzz's dressing doesn't make mine the worst one. Hehe.
Now these 2 pictures of the cupcakes were taken by my Samsung smart camera, DV300F. Not bad at all right!
After the tea ceremony in the morning, we prepared ourselves for the wedding dinner in the evening at 7.30PM. For me, I didn't take much time to prepare myself because I don't apply make up, don't do anything to my hair so the only thing I need to do is to prepare my outfit! In less than 15 minutes, I was ready to go but I couldn't, because I had to wait for everybody else to be done...
Photo album placed near the entry of the restaurant!
The ambience of the restaurant wasn't really satisfying to me.
My cuzzie, Jevon, and I! Among all of them, I am the closest to him because we've spent a little more time together and our age gap is not that far apart; he's 1 year older than me.
So gettin' a MacBook man. HAHA.
The story of Daryl and Kevryn plotted from the wedding's couple very lovely friends.
Of course, the couple went to shake the champagne bottle very violently before popping the cork and I was scared out of my wits because we were sitting in the front table and I was just right opposite them, we were so close. When it was about to pop, I was trying my best to hide in all directions but there was nothing covering me. Thank god, the cork didn't fly straight to my face and somewhere else.
Here are a few of the dishes served. The quality of the pictures are not up to standard due to the missing function of the flash, I apologise.
Drinking champagne openly in front of my relatives when I wasn't even supposed to but the champagne was good according to Jevon so I had to give it a sip! My cheeks turned rosy after a while because it was getting colder as the night came and I was only wearing 2 pieces of clothing. However, my relatives thought differently, they assumed it was the champagne that got me drunk. My alcohol level isn't that bad, folks... I haven't even downed half a cup of champagne, my goodness!! Oh and by the way, my cheeks turn red really easily so it's not because I always blush or I am drunk alright!
I look really happy there, all giggly and stuff. In fact, I was actually having difficulty getting up when they guys were crowding so close behind my chair so I had to toast with a bent back. Crap.
I look so red from here... I still like this picture. ;)
My other cousin, Sabrina, is the girl to the right, beside me.
Time to throw the bouquet to mark the end of the wedding dinner!
Day 6
Headed over to the Sunday Community Market in the morning! It's also known as a flea market but the flea market over there is not so similar to the ones here. You'll see why when you scroll down...
As you can see from the above pictures, they do not simply sell clothing, shoes and accessories but almost everything you can ever find, from flowers to fruits to frozen meat to art and craft to furnishing stuff and more! To be honest, I was pretty amazed!
They have a place for you to munch on and relax yourself.
Cashiers sitting out of nowhere.
Me trying to read my new book.
Hungry Jack's for lunch! It's slightly similarly to Burger King but I think the burgers from Hungry Jack's are much tastier and smoother.
I ordered some beef burger if I'm not wrong. It was lip-smacking!
Hair of the day!
Dim Sum lunch at Joy Garden Seafood Restaurant!
I love dim sum! This is the best meal I've ever had in Perth.
The chee cheong fun is damn good because it has shrimp inside too!
The library!
I love the words printed on the floor.
Oh and by the way, we are in the city of Perth.
The train station looks so cool!
Modeling with a ticket machine. HAHA.
Shopping.~
Some amazing art pieces done here by this lady.
This is how shopping in the city looks like over there.
The third time seeing Target (if you can recall).
This silly guy playing with the mannequins in the boutique.
Outfit of the day!
Queued for bubble tea drink!
And there's iron man in the house!!!
Just look at the cost of the bubble tea over there! I thought the bubble tea in Singapore i.e. Koi / Gong Cha was over-priced but hey look, Australia has even more expensive bubble tea! We ordered the Special Pearl Milk Tea which would cost around SGD$5.70.
Bought 8 cups in total.
Happy girl drinking milk tea with pearl that costs $5.70.
Dinner time!
Their canned drinks are slightly slimmer and taller than our's. I prefer this size. Ha.
Last stop of the day was at Big Aunt's house to celebrate Mooncake Festival. It was definitely a special year to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival because it was in Perth. And we were watching the moon in a chilly weather, I stayed outdoors as long as I could to enjoy and savour the moment while moon-gazing. It was a memorable night indeed.
Day 7
Off to Crown casino we went to have our buffet brunch! That's me and my cuzz, Jevon.
One of my most favourite pictures, also taken by my Samsung smart camera.
The dessert was the best part of the buffet! The ice cream was stupendous and the marshmallows plus strawberry dipped in hot chocolate was absolutely delicious. This picture is another of my favourite food pictures, taken with my Samsung smart camera as well.
Next destination for shopping! There was nothing much to shop because most of the shops were closed as that day was a public holiday. Unlike Singapore, the shops there can stop operating their business as and when they'd wish to and they would most likely not open during public holidays. Also, most shops close at 5pm in the evening. This is one thing that I couldn't adapt to and dislike it too. I mean, if the shops do not operate when we are available during the holidays then where are we supposed to go? Besides, if we love the nightlife, how are we going to spend our time outdoors if there's nothing we can do when everything is closed? That would be depressing if Singapore turns out to be this way... What do you think? Share your views with me via Formspring!
Me scanning my own purchased stuff again at another hypermarket, but more confidently this time!
Extremely huge crow that squeaks like a child crying for milk. So different from the ones in Singapore.
Back at Third Aunt's house for home-cooked dinner!
Managed to catch the breathtaking view of the sunset in their neighbourhood, so pretty.
Outfit of the day!
Jevon and I. <3 div="div">3>
My other cuzzie, Ambrose!
And another cuzz, Esmond!
The 3 brothers and I. x
Day 8
It's time to bid farewell...
Had American breakfast in the airport first before checking in.
Super adorable, fluffy clouds. And that's our plane!
Goodbye Perth, you're shrinking!! As mentioned before, I had the window seat again and I was damn excited because it is a morning flight so it meant that I would be able to see the clouds and the sky, my all-time favourite hobby!
These are the 2 different breakfast meals that were served.
Watched The Amazing Spider-Man on board!
And Madagascar 3 too!
There was Running Man too! But I already watched that episode so yeah...
Didn't manage to finish watching Fringe though, but it's also one of my favourite shows!
As you can see, during the whole journey in the plane, I've never stopped taking pictures of the surroundings because I was really in awe and in loved with the nature of fluffy clouds. There are actually many more of these pictures but I didn't post them all up, for my safe-keeping and memories. ^^
Landed in Singapore, home sweet home! Took the cab back home and hit the sack immediately once I got into my room. I've always never rested well during flights.
Overall, the trip was interesting because I got to experience the vintage infrastructure over there, that was my favourite part of the trip. It isn't my favourite overseas trip though, Korea would be ranked first in my list. I'd like to visit Korea again, very soon. But before Korea, I would really love to travel to Europe! My parents are planning on the Europe trip next year so I am really anticipating it!!!!!
With that, goodbye readers!
