It's been so long. Here's to keeping this space ALIVE.

Hey everyone! It has been almost a year since I've last updated but guess what? I'm back to revive this space. To be honest, I didn't do this voluntarily. There had been no intention of updating this blog, I was actually planning to let it rot to death.

Surprisingly, a few anons actually remembered that such a blog of mine existed and they wanted me to update it. I found it really really sweet. I mean, really guys, I've already put this blog at the back of my head and yet anonymous readers were willing to read this blog. So, as an act of appreciation, I decided to take the time to give my blog a slightly different look and update about my life starting from the most recent event which is Camp Impact 2013 followed by School of Business Management (SBM) Freshmen Orientation (FMO) Camp 2013 held in Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP). And lastly, some extra stuff I'd like to share with you guys that are pretty extraordinary to me.

For those of you who do not know, I am in SBM Club and I participated in Camp Impact and FMO as an organising committee (OC) where me and my other OC members, with our different roles, plan, organise and execute these camps for freshies of 2013 to attend!

{14 - 16 June: CAMP IMPACT'13}

DAY 1:: As the Night Walk In-Charge (IC), I arrived in school early in the morning to set up the stations and prepare all the stuff for the Night Trail later in the night. I've never ran so much around the whole school before. NEVER. Not just the SBM block, but around the SHS block and SIT block. There were a lot of confirmation to do for the individual stations so yeah, I had to run around the school to finish up all preparations and run up and down in the amphitheatre to facilitate the groups when the Night Walk kicked start. That night, I thought back and wished I had made a shorter route for the night trail.

I've already foresee that the Haunted House and Mirror Mirror stations would be the biggest attraction of the Night Walk and after gaining some feedback from the campers, I was proven right. And, I was satisfied that the Night Walk was qutie a success. If it weren't for the tests/ICAs, I could have put in more time and effort in the preparation and planning of Night Walk to make it a better one. My apologies to those campers who found that the NW was boring and not thrilling. Sorry. :-(

And if you didn't know, there was one more Night Walk IC, my partner, but you guys probably didn't see him. To be honest, I didn't know where he was when the Night Walk was ongoing which explains why I had a pretty tough time overseeing the Night Walk.

Well, I'm just glad that it is over.  It was hell lot of work. I was really worn out and slept for barely an hour but it was worth the hard work to be able to gain an experience in planning something pretty huge.

DAY 2: I was walking around the school AGAIN, to help oversee Amazing Race.
I really liked the game where we had to catch other people's tails!!!

After Amazing Race, it was the Talent/Heroes Night! By right, it was time for me to chill and watch the performances of the groups but I was being pulled over by Group 5/Thor to perform their 'Call Me Maybe' skit with another OC member.

And yes, the clubbing night was one of the activities that I was looking forward to in the camp but as we all know, there were technical problems and the clubbing night was cut short. What actually happened was the speakers became fried, they were too small to play such loud music.

On the second night, I only had 2 hours of sleep. Seriously deprived of sleep but oh well, it's a camp so I just had to suck it up.

DAY 3: This is the other activity that I look forward to the most - Aqua/Wet Games!

Got completely wet from head to toe and had fun spraying water with our water guns along with Louise! Louise and I named ourselves, 'The Water Girls'. HAHA.

We formed our mini pool beside the SPS station too. And a few of the OC, including me and Louise were dragged into the pool for a massive shower session. My hair was scrubbed with shampoo so many times that even after bathing with my own shampoo, I can only smell the shampoo that was used for the games. It was that bad, not exaggerating guys.

Wash up > Prize presentation > Photo taking and lastly debrief for the OC. I had to leave early to celebrate Father's Day with my family! Forced myself to keep my eyes open with only 3-4 hours of sleep in 2 days.

These are all the 3 different shirts for Camp Impact!
Blue - OC
White - Facils/OGLs
Grey - Campers

Oops, I had all 3 shirts, of my size. So now I can have 3 different identities, will I be mistaken in school if I wear the different coloured shirts? Perks of being in the organising committee! Hoo ha.

{10-11 June: NYP SBM FMO'13}

As for FMO, I was the Dance and Wind Tribe IC!
Together with 2 other Dance ICs, we taught the freshies some dance moves for the mass dance! And As the Wind Tribe leader, of course, I will always support Wind Tribe all the way! Wind Tribe is definitely the best tribe in my heart even though we didn't win the title as the best tribe.
**LOVE YOU WIND TRIBE (My freshies + OGLs).**

Tribe ICs in the house!
(Water | Fire | Wind | Earth)

DAY 1: There were 2 groups of freshies we had to teach the mass dance for, each group had 2 tribes.
When the first batch came into the Indoor Sports Hall, I was so shocked that I didn't feel nervous at all when I stood on stage. *contradicting*

The best part was that the freshies were so cooperative. They really followed and learned the dance moves together. There were 2 claps in the dance move and omg guys, while Wen Chun and I were dancing along with all of the freshies, I could see and hear every single freshie clap in unison. That sense of pride and accomplishment really brought me joy.

After the first batch, I was really worn out because the both of us were prancing and dancing the whole time on stage. But I had to move on to teach my Wind Tribe our tribe cheer. :-)

The same thing happened for the second batch of the 2 tribes, they were so cooperative too! And because, we were kinda experienced from teaching the first batch, we managed to teach the second batch even faster.

Really, I am so proud of all the freshies! So awesome.

DAY 2: I love wet games so of course, during FMO, I went to play while helping out to refill the pails for water. It was hilarious but effective alright. Haha.

After wet games, I quickly hurried to wash up and prepare for the FMO MASS DANCE and FINALE. Whoop whoop.

We'd expected the freshies to forget the dance but was surprised that the dance wasn't completely forgotten. It was such a breeze carrying out the mass dance that evening. I was smiling from ear to ear when I heard those 2 claps and saw all the freshies dancing together happily. The dance competition was awesome too, okay, I shall admit, partly because my Wind Tribe won the BEST DANCE! Yay!

During the cheer competition, we really went all out and crazy. I didn't care about my voice and throat. YOLO you know? Haha. We were cheering so madly, I swear I knew all of us were having a great time and when the finale ended, the OC all knew FMO'13 was a great success.

Dance/Tribe ICs, Emcee and Games IC!

My lovely Wind Tribe OGLs!!!

Visiting different cafés is sort of my new favourite hobby. It's so relaxing to calm your nerves down in lovely ambience and setting. So this is exactly what I've been up to last week, when my term break started.

@ Mu Parlour (Holland Village)

This White Latte is pretty amazing.

Mixed Berry Tart, $8

Super awesome Duo Chocolate Mousse on Brownie, $8

Favourite picture taken that day.

NEXT STOP:
@ d'Good Cafe (Holland Village)

What more can you ask for than to swing in a bench while catching up with your fellow mates, enjoy good food, have a cuppa and chill in a cool ambience?

Egg Benedict (Must try) | Fresh Sea Prawn Aglio Olio

Chanced upon Churrosity outlet while hunting for more cafes and got these Churros for $3.20. Personally, I think that they are overrated and expensive since the portion is really small. It is way to sweet too. I don't think it's worth it!

Lately, I've been buying a lot of Ladaurée macarons when I first tried 2 of their flavours - Chocolate and Strawberry Marshsmallow. It was my first time trying macarons and when I put them in my mouth, I knew for sure, macarons are definitely one of my favourite food. So far, I've only tried Ladurée's macarons but I hope to try Canelé's and TWG's macarons too!

Ladurée's macarons are good even though they are more pricey than the other brands.
This box of macarons cost $34.20. An additional cost of $3.80 for the gold-speckled chocolate macaron.

Ghana Chocolate (Seasonal flavour) | Salted Caramel | Liquorice | Pistachio | Rose Petal | Chocolate | Vanilla | Gold-leafed

I am a chocolate lover, if you ask me to choose a flavour, chocolate will always be in the top of my choices. And this 22-carat gold leaf macaron @ $7.60 is absolutely amazing. The golden leafs are crisp with flavour and matches well with the chocolate fillings. One bite tastes like heaven. Everyone should definitely try this if you have a chance to.

Alright, finally, after 5 hours, I'm done with this long post! I hope it is sufficient enough to pull off as an update. Thank you for reading and happy midweek everybody! xo
