blogging after 8 months???

Sooo hi there. If you've already seen the blog title above, you would have figured where/how this entry would go. At this moment, I'm seated in the corner of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, typing away on my online journal (or getting carried away with a book, with the help of my vivid imaginations) while it is pouring outside. Sometimes, I would daze away, sip on my frappe, look out the glass windows and think about life (not that deeply, just to relax).

And this is how I like to spend my time alone. We all do need some alone time and to me, it's perfectly fine to enjoy being alone because I really do (no I'm not an emotional kinda person really).

Honestly speaking, I have thought of updating this space like all the time but I have been so caught up with work and school and so many other things in my life, I didn't exactly have the time to sit down to blog. It only came to my realisation to start writing again when I was given constant reminders by my friends, who apparently have been checking out for new blog posts... but only to find out that it is clean and deserted.

Well, now that I am already in my final year, a lot has happened ever since I stepped into my current phase of life poly. Poly has been helluva crazy experience for me, it still is, and I am glad I took this route. I have been through a lot and definitely learnt a lot, thus making my teenage years worthwhile. There is so much to mention that if I were to start from the beginning, from the nitty-gritty, it would take up more than 2 blog posts. And since I have actually updated a bit in the midst of Year 1 & 2, I shall share the more recent or near future matters.

Ever since I was done with the last semester of Year 2 in end February, I bid goodbye to exams in NYP 4eva and welcomed TEP (attachment in school) with not-so open arms...

Once exams ended, we straight away moved onto TEP without being able to enjoy our semester break/vacation (nope not even a day or two). It was office working hours every weekday, to experience business life in school. But TEP was pretty amazing still. I remembered I wasn't excited to go through TEP at first but now that TEP has come to an end, I must say it has been the best phase in my poly life afterall.

I was posted to MSC (MSC Studio Ops) as my first TEP stopover and then I was attached to ELDC next. Those 14 weeks had been a fruitful one and I shall let the pictures explain why.

{MSC}

MSC's photo shoot  still remembered I almost died when there were sparks due to over power of electricity.

Hard at work, stocking up goods (packing/data entry), decorating the store etc.

Amidst my days in MSC, my schedule was packed with BBQs/chalets/camps.

(i) LTC Camp:

Before lipstick and after lipstick. I was to disguise myself as a doll called 'Annaballe' during Night Walk. Did I pull it off? hahahahah

I thought we were pretty hideous tho (just look at my hair in the dark).

This was during Amazing Race, with my team Niners. :')

My sunburnt face after every single camp, YES

(ii) Niners Chalet cum Group 8 Yoluo's:

Went night cycling for 65km and went for work (TEP) the next day with barely any sleep. It was worth the sleep. And gosh even though my butt was sore after so much cycling, I really wouldn't mind cycling along the beach while feeling the breeze against my face again.

(iii) MSC Farewell BBQ Party:
In the blink of an eye, our MSC days were over, and we organised a BBQ to say our goodbyes.

Busy making s'mores for everyone (my forte guys) 'cuz I started making a lot of s'mores for every single BBQ after this party. But I do enjoy making s'mores for people hehe, I'm happy when people like 'em.

(iv) FMO Camp:
This took place during MSC's handover session so technically the 7 weeks of our attachment ended already. This year's FMO is the 3rd (and prolly the last one) I'll be participating.

The first FMO was my very own freshman orientation, when I was still a freshie, who entered poly, knowing nothing at all. The second one, last year, I was in the organising committee of FMO, planning the camp, holding the role of dance IC and wind tribe leader. Oh how I've missed those days, being on stage teaching Kesha's C'mon to all my juniors.

And for this year's, I took up the role as a game master but only joined in on the 2nd day of FMO. Even so, I had a good time with my SBM Club juniors, not forgetting my dear OGL juniors!

(v) MSC Official Farewell Party:
Performed (sang) in front of a crowd for the first time is a frightening and entertaining experience for me. I had fun though. :-)

(vi) FMO Chalet:
Made more s'mores and sadly I didn't take any group picture during my stay because I left early to party so a picture at the Zouk maybe? oops

{ELDC}

Just like the period during MSC, I had a few events during my attachment at ELDC... More BBQs and gatherings etc.

(i) PUP BBQ Gathering:

Our super neat grill (unintentional but people with OCD would've been so grateful to us)

Well look who made s'mores again yep, me HAHA because it's a BBQ session and there's me and my ingredients so wala there'll be s'mores!

(ii) Part-time job:

Been really busy working outside after May started, and my carefree days were over because not only was I schooling (TEP) from 9-5pm on weekdays, I have been working from 11-9pm on every other weekend (all Saturdays and Sundays). This basically meant that I did not have a rest day. However it didn't stop me from expanding my schedule to hang out with friends/family.

(iii) Mother's Day:

I can vividly remember that Mother's Day fell on a Sunday, but I spent the entire day working so I was unable to spare time to celebrate for my mom unlike everyone else. Despite my busy schedule, I took leave from school on Monday to bring my mom out on a simple date (treat to meals/desserts, on top of all that, the company was what mattered the most for the both of us). She is the most important person and my mom meant more than the world to me. It was a really simple handcrafted card (DIY) but it's the thought that counts right? My mom loved the card I made for her and the thought of it makes me smile.

(iv) TEP Orientation:
My very first experience as an emcee for a formal event. It was a really short programme but we all took an effort to rehearse and practice our own parts to make sure everything ran smoothly.

The 2 emcees and the 2 student speakers.

All of us were taken aback when we realised that the end of TEP was nearing so quickly, and before we knew it, TEP was over. The second stopover at ELDC passed by even more quickly than the first. Right now, I am having a 1 week break before I begin my internship (IPP).

I am dreading internship because:-
(1) the company is located really far away from my place, transportation is inconvenient too
(2) I have to do my intern during the weekends
(3) I have to cancel my part-time job on one of the weekends
(4) I am clueless about my job scope
(5) less rest for me because I have to wake up early for work

In spite of having all these thoughts in my mind about internship on Monday, positive thoughts are always running through my mind. I am utilising this week to play and rest while simultaneously hoping that internship will turn out better than expected, just like how it had changed my mindset for TEP.

If you were observant enough to realise that I have mentioned about me taking my last papers in NYP,  well here's more to it... I will be going for OSEP (Overseas Student Exchange Programme) in September for the last semester of my poly life. I will be spending 4-5 months in a Germany university. I've been settling some paperwork already but I'm still far from completion.

What I do know for sure is that time will pass really quickly from the start of my internship to the end of it then to that few weeks left before I leave Singapore for half a year. Feeling a mix of emotions to what is about to happen!

I'll update again when I have the time, SOON. Thanks for reading!
