Hello Mosbach
21 September 2014 (Day 20) - Moving into Mosbach
After a lot of hassle of having to squeeze everything back into the baggages, I pulled my luggages along with me and took an hour plus train ride to Mosbach. Always enjoyed taking the trains while enjoying the scenic view from the window, it's just so lovely.
As compared to Heidelberg, Mosbach is a much smaller city. Still, it is a beautiful town and a REALLY COLD one. Yes, even though it is still the Autumn season, the lowest temperature Mosbach can get it is 3 degree celcius (so far) which is odd because I heard that it usually isn't this cold... yet. I thought to myself that this could be caused by global warming - the unpredictable change of weather. Sooo I'm kinda getting myself prepared for MORE cold in the Winter (starting November).
Anyway! This is the entrance to my apartment!
MY BEAUTIFUL ROOM.
Okay, I know I said that I liked my room in Heidelberg but my room currently is even better. It's so cozy and modern-looking. Other than having a good pillow right now (which I didn't have in my previous room, the pillow was so bad, I had a sore neck for 3 weeks), I even have a hair-dryer, a heated floor mat, extra towels and bed sheets.
AND THIS
it smells like vanilla essence, makes my room smell really good ahhhhh
I literally spent like more than an hour just taking my room in, on how nice it was and then chilling at every part of the room by moving my butt from the bed to the chair to the couch. I was just bursting with so much energy after I entered the room even though I was so worn out from all the moving.
The stairs to up to my room which we all love to climb. I'll miss these stairs when I move out, they're so cute (partly because it's spiral).
Kitchen's small but has everything - oven, rice-cooker, toaster, microwave, coffee-maker, 4 fridges, you name it.
The only thing we all are frustrated about is that the bathroom has to be shared with 7 girls. So troublesome. At least the guys have a bathroom and a toilet so at least if someone is bathing, others can still do their business in the available toilet. But oh well, we're not complaining because some of us are put into another apartment which is quite bad (described as a holiday inn).
We even have a balcony, with a barbecue grill! PARTY TIME
The key to my room is so cool and ancient hehe
View from my window.
I think I've mentioned it before but yeah, in Germany, shops aren't opened on Sundays so we couldn't go grocery shopping or anything but thankfully an eatery was opened. I quickly ordered a Yufka Döner (kebab wrap) with cheese. Gobbled that goodness down because I was starving after not having eaten anything till dinner time.
We then went to the Mosbach Brauhaus for more food.
I got a banana juice.
and dessert - ice cream!!!
22 September 2014 (Day 21) - Getting settled down more
Onion cake (2.50 Euro) for breakfast yumz
Tea party! Croissants and pretzels oh yeah.
Buddy got this for me from Oktoberfest AWWW it says princess over there and I wore it over my neck. It was so cute.
Grocery shopping at Kaufland. The mart is SO HUGE I almost got lost in there. It's almost like a paradise. FYI, it was the only supermarket in the town though.
We stocked up our fridge pretty crazily/scarily HAHA
23 September 2014 (Day 22) - Exploring Mosbach + BBQ
Breakfast in bed before starting the day.
Every day view, near my school. I love it so much, I can live with it everyday.
My school.
Food from the cafeteria.
Went for a BBQ organised by the Student Union later in the evening. The Germans really love their meat and sausages really well. I had so much bratwurst it was crazy, not really a fan of sausages but their's are just that good.
and as usual when there's a BBQ, I would be there to make s'mores for everyone. I was surprised to see everyone's reactions to the s'mores. Like I thought Europeans would know about s'mores but apparently they didn't and when they put those goodness into their mouths, they were like 'wow'. I was glad everyone liked the s'mores I made anyway. :-)
24 September 2014 (Day 23) - Long day at school
School lasted till 4:30pm today. We had an intercultural experience, doing some physical activities in and out of class. Learning to observe other's people gestures and cultures.
Lunch in the cafeteria again.
They have these 'waterfalls' everywhere here in Mosbach and a lot of statues. Gonna be a long day tomorrow too because we're heading to Heilbronn for sightseeing and 'rock' climbing YAY. Will be updating this space again, goodnight! xx
