10 Gift Ideas for Valentine's Day

Hey everyone! It is good to be back on this space again and again I have yet to update on my travelling adventures... Now I have more to update on because more adventures have been piling up! Looks like it is gonna take me a lot of patience to upload pictures, hmmm.

But first things first, Valentine's Day is just round the corner! Having trouble thinking of what to get for your special someone? (psst, it doesn't have to be your boyfriend or girlfriend)

Then it looks like you have landed yourself in the right place! Here are some gift ideas I got for you.

1)  FLOWER BOUQUET

You can never go wrong with a flower bouquet. Roses are the best flowers to set for the occasion or if you know the person's favourite flowers then get her/him those instead! Some of my favourite flowers include – Sunflowers, Baby's Breath, Roses.

2)  DIY CARD

If you want to show how much you love him/her, put some effort into your creativity and work it! DIY cards are the best way to show your sincerity and love to another person. If you must, include a cheesy message.

3)  CHOCOLATES
Sweet tooth? This would be the perfect gift! You can get chocolates wrapped in adorable and lovely packaging, paired with assortments and flavours of your choice.

4)  BAKE / COOK SOMETHING

Love to bake? Get experimenting and bake something special for your special someone this Valentine's Day. You can either bake a cake, muffins or cupcakes (with alphabets on each of them to send a message), heart-shaped cookies, macarons and the list goes on!

Alternatively, if you are better in cooking than baking then whip up a hearty meal for him/her! Be creative by decorating your food and then packing it into a lunch box before delivering it to his/her door step. You can even organise a picnic party with your special someone over wine/champagne and add fairy lights to complement the romantic atmosphere – looks like a Valentines' Day date is good to go too!

Still unsure of what to cook? Try making some sushi or the usual brunch with Egg Benedict and sausages/bacon. If you are willing to take up the challenge, make some pasta with homemade sauce or grill a steak!

5)  BALLOONS

I would totally squeal like a little kid if I were to receive a bunch of balloons! So touch a ladies' heart with these and I'm sure you'll get a warm big hug in return.

6)  MESSAGE IN A JAR

Cut blank paper into about 50-60 thin pieces. Write an interesting, short note showing how much you love him/her. Roll it up and pop it into the jar (a mason jar will work!) You can spice it up by adding gem stones, glitters, colourful ribbons or even candies!

7)  DESIGN A COUPLE T-SHIRT

For something that only both of you will own, come up with a t-shirt design and get it printed in both of your sizes!

8)  BIG PLUSH TOY

If your special someone is obsessed over plush toys then get a really huge one for this occasion! Some cute plush toys can be bears and bunnies. Remember to get FLUFFY toys!

9)  SEW A TOTE BAG

Ready to show off some of your sewing and knitting skills? Buy a plain beige fabric, cut it into shape and sew it into a simple tote bag. From there, you can either purchase some ink chops to decorate the tote bag or draw on it with a marker.

10)  NETFLIX & CHILL (with pizza)

Both of you guys just do not feel like doing anything this Valentine's day and are the kind of people who love to chill then... I've just got the thing for ya! If you do not already know... Netflix is now available in Singapore! Order some pizzas, Netflix and chill, you got it!

– ALL THE BEST & HAPPY VDAY! –

Valentine's Day
