Bridesmaid & groom

Hey guys! June is already over, that's half of 2016 that flew past like that, julying?!

I'm still in the midst of my Summer holidays and currently I'm planning for a short getaway which will happen right after all my camps; 2 weeks before my sophomore year begins. While taking a break from all the planning, I browsed through Facebook and was reminded of my trip to Perth.

Travelled all the way to Perth to attend my cousin's wedding as well! I believe this was the last time I attended a wedding, this was 4 years ago!  At this age, my friends, especially the guys who are older in uni, are getting married/attending wedding ceremonies already! It was so much fun witnessing a significantly memorable moment for my nephew aka the wedding couple and helping the bridesmaid and grooms get all dressed up. This moment in the family was one to remember and has brought back many memories indeed. Let me now share some of the pictures with you!

My aunt's home!

Looks almost like a panorama isn't it?!

A very sumptuous home-cooked feast whipped up by the uncle :-)

Walking and shopping the streets of Perth, like a boss HAHA. By the way, if you're wondering why I'm dress up like this, it's because the seasons in Australia work the opposite way so the weather then was pretty chilly. I remembered shivering (wait, actually I was literally shaking) after stepping out from the shower room. Without a heater in the toilet, the temperature actually dropped pretty low in the night! I reminded myself never to shower at night again or alternatively, to dry myself before stepping out of the shower room.

One of the many itineraries we explored! Fremantle!

We had some fresh seafood from Kailis', the seafood place in the first picture, that overlooks the sea, close to the shore! I love the vibe of the restaurant – beautiful scenic view, watching the seabirds fly, hearing the waves (except the awful aroma of the raw seafood). However, the food was not as fantastic as expected, it was very oily and also very pricey.

Will always have this memory etched deeply in the back of my head – big ass chessboard

Most of their shopping malls are only made up of 2 levels maximum BUT each level is humongous!!!! Because of how huge the country is, they have ample land and space to build malls that take up a large surface area. If you have never gotten yourself lost in a mall before, these malls in Perth might be your first experience (hahaha).

Coffee is always a good idea.

Graffiti brick walls at Weilington Street.

Celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival abroad! Definitely a unique experience.

Bridegroom!

Bridesmaids! Loving the 'old school' theme!

The tea ceremony! This is a tradition for Chinese wedding where the newly wed will pour tea for their parents.

The wedding venue, on the next day! The setting was very 'asian', with patches of red everywhere. And if you were wondering, yes, it was a Chinese restaurant so of course we were served with Chinese cuisine.

The must-do "yam-seng"!

The wedding evening+night was a spectacular one indeed. I even witnessed bits of Western culture during the event where the bride threw her bouquet backwards, towards a group of single ladies (of middle age). The saying goes that whoever who catches the bouquet will be the next newly wed!

I only remembered the scene being quite chaotic with all the girls, STRUGGLING, snatching and almost clawing each other to grab the bouquet that fell to the ground. At that point of time, I just hoped no one was injured...

Casino..... Which was nothing much to me because I'm still not of legal age yet and am still isn't. YAY forever young!
In the hotel where the casino is situated, there is an international buffet restaurant too! This is where the fun comes in for me because hooray, food! Food always wins :-)

And we had even more food at a Chinese Dim Sum restaurant! Yummy food gave me a very happy tummy!

Yes, back home, with a shot of my OOTD. This was me 4 years ago, yikes!

I love how this sunset picture looks filtered, sort of Tumblr-ish but guess what, 0 filter guys! Nature at its best :')

I hope you enjoyed the post and I can't wait to do more updates on my travelling adventures! Procrastination really got the best out of me... Plus, now that I'm having my Summer break, I am still highly committed to organising and facilitating school camps so my priorities are dedicated to school at the moment. I need a lot of free time to really sit down and blog about my EU adventures (which I haven't started working on). Trust me when I say I have A LOT to write. Till my next travelling post, stay tuned!
