Hello everyone!!! The last time I did my hair was almost 3 years ago and the colour was supposed to be dark brown (almost black) but somehow it got lighter...

As you can see in the picture on the left, my hair was completely 'overgrown' making my coloured hair look like highlights or dip dye (a lengthy amount of black roots with a light hazelnut colour).

Firstly, I had a haircut, to get rid of my split ends and to re-adjust my hair volume. 

I was very pleased and blessed to have Senior Stylist Justin Teo (in the back of the photo) as my personal hairstylist! He has been in the hair industry for over 7 years. Justin was very patient, hardworking and provided honest advices to ensure that I'll walk out the salon with the perfect hair. Being ever ready, he gave me tips to help me maintain my hair colour. 

The overall experience was not only a very soothing one but also a learning journey for me! As a first-timer in trying out hair bleach, I found it very helpful for Justin in carefully and diligently explaining what he was going to do next and the rationale behind why/how he was completing each action. 

And here, the bleaching process begins! The bleach product used on my hair is purely green and organic which results in the least damage possible. 

It was very reassuring for me as my hair is already naturally dry. So, having to make the decision of bleaching my 'grassy' hair, it was worrisome to find out the outcome of my hair especially being aware of the consequence of how badly damaged my hair might get in the aftermath. 

I can safely say that it has been almost a month (7 August 2016) since I had my hair done at Kenjo Salon, and my hair is not as dry as I had expected a bleached hair would be! In fact, I am actually considering bleaching my hair once more on my next visit to Kenjo Salon!

After a long but not very gruesome 4 hours, bleaching was completed!

These were the hair shampoo and conditioner used to wash my hair after the dye. These products are also organic!

Time to apply the hair dye!

The hair dye used is from their main brand - MUCOTA!

More importantly, it has the least percentage of ammonia as compared to most hair dye products outside. Your hair and scalp is in safe hands :-)

After another 3 hours of applying and waiting for the hair dye to set in, hair treatment was the last step!

Justin even stayed long after his work hours (salon closes at 8pm) to finish off my hair do! And viola this is the outcome!  The curls are only temporary ones, didn't actually require much of a perm as I've naturally wavy/curly hair.
